As a small business located in the Burren region, The Irish Chandler is a proud member of the Burren Eco-Tourism Network (B.E.N) a supported group of tourism businesses encouraged to work with fellow members to follow a code of practise that ensures a cared-for landscape, a better understanding of heritage, more sustainable tourism, a vibrant community and strengthened livelihoods. Since becoming members in 2019 we have adopted a number of environmentally sustainable practices within our business.
THE BURREN + CLIFFS OF MOHER UNESCO GLOBAL GEOPARK
The Burren & Clifs of Moher UNESCO Global Geopark has sustainability as a core element of all it does. It has been working closely with many businesses in the region on it's highly innovative Geopark Code of Practice for Sustainable Tourism programme which enables businesses to monitor and improve their environmental impact.
